We have made KIRIKO, the paper cut-outs representing memories and other cherished things in the lives the people of Minamisanriku since 2010. We’ve exhibited KIRIKO in front of the each company or store. We’ll continue the activity this year as well. The people in Minamisanriku are able to recognize their own spiritual nature and individual history through the art or activity of making the paper cut-outs. This year we’ll make the KIRIKO lanterns symbolized their memories before Tsunami on 2011.3.11.On 27th August, we’ll light KIRIKO lanterns and mourn the victims of 3.11.
