Asahi Art Festival 2013

N-20_1_570pixel.jpg

Wakanoura is a seaside town written in an ancient poem in Japan.  The group was established in June 2011, with the purpose of planning various art and cultural activities. Using local art and cultural facilities such as Wakanoura Art Cube and Wakayama Municipal Auditorium, they collaborate with local community groups and people to activate artistic and cultural events in the area. "Kotohogi" means "to celebrate with words."  As Wakanoura is the sacred place for Japanese poetry culture, the group represents the hope to  celebrate all artistic expressions.
