Annual Schedule of AAF

AAF holds opportunities to allow participating organizations all over Japan to assemble three times a year. The occasions are "Network Conference," which aims to create networks among projects, "Grand Open Party," which celebrates the opening, and "Report Meeting," where the accomplishments are publicized.
Also, we have various activities throughout the year, regardless of festival period from June to September.


February:

Network Conference
Staffs in charge of projects around Japan assemble to create network between projects. Presentations by the staff, orientation by the Secretariat and Round Table Conferences are held.



June:

Grand Open Party
The party celebrates the opening. There are various drinks and foods, as well as presentation booths by participating projects. Performances by local traditional dances are also held annually.


(AAF holds over 30 art projects all over Japan annually between June and September.)



Early October:

Public advertisement for candidates begins
Selection Committee, made of Executive Committee members and experts, make selections through three stages. They include "First Selection Meeting" where we look through application documents, "Public Hearing," where we obtain additional information and "Final Selection Meeting."The results are informed to applicants and publicized on the website.
Keys for selections are, potentials to utilize local resources, influences and spread to local communities and innovativeness and uniqueness of activities.



November:

Report Meeting
The occasion is held to publicize our accomplishments to the public. Staffs in charge of projects from all over Japan assemble to report their activities at their booths and through presentations. We also create AAF Expansion Executive Committee to hold a conference to discuss about AAF directions in the future.

Deadline for public advertisement


End of November:

Verification Committee
The committee is aimed to feed back the results and points to be improved for the future activities, as well as to continuously develop participating projects. Staffs of plans evaluate their own activities while Verification Committee made of Executive Committee members and others examine and make presentations on status of each plan and comments of projects' superior points and points that need to be improved.



Mid-December:

First Selection Meeting, Open Hearing, Final Selection Meeting



End of December:

Announcement of selection results
